On Wednesday, April 25th, 2018, lectures were held in the Belgrade City Library to mark DNA Day and 65 years since the discovery of the DNA secondary structure.

On Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 IMGGE and Serbian Society for Molecular Biology will mark DNA Day by organizing the program of lectures from the field of molecular biology.

On May 17 and 18, Belgrade will host the ICGEB Workshop “New biotechnological drugs and biosimilars with focus on Danube and Adriatic-Ionian macroregion: a case for smart specialization in research and innovation”.

On Tuesday, March 27, a seminar entitled "Pharmacogenetics in the Service of Oncology" was held in IMGGE for a group of students from various faculties of natural sciences. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the B.CELL project, within which a platform for electronic learning in the field of oncology was developed.

Jasmina Nikodinovic-Runic, PhD, Principal Research Fellow of the Laboratory for Microbial Molecular Genetics and Ecology IMGGE, has been awarded the funds from the Green Innovation Vaucher Scheme implemented in Serbia by European Bank for Research and Development. Allocated funds are intended for the application of the technology for the conversion of waste plastic packaging into biodegradable plastics. The user of the technology is company ESENSA d.o.o. from Belgrade.
