On Saturday, November 22, 2025, starting at 9:45 AM, IMGGE will host a Symposium on 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome, which is associated with a high risk for the development of neurodevelopmental disorders. The aim of the Symposium is to bring together parents and children with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome and provide an opportunity to discuss the latest findings with experts in the field. The symposium will feature speakers from Serbia, as well as specialists from Europe and the United States with extensive experience in researching and diagnosing 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome.
This form of collaboration with parents and children affected by 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome was initiated within the STREAMLINE project, and this edition of the symposium has been made possible by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) through the #IBROSpeakerSupport grant, awarded to Dr. Danijela Stanisavljević Ninković. IBRO is a global association of neuroscience societies, founded in 1961, with the mission to promote and support the development of neuroscience worldwide through training, education, research, knowledge dissemination, public engagement, and the publication of two scientific journals – Neuroscience and IBRO Neuroscience Reports.
