RESEARCH INTEREST

Role of silicon in plant nutrition and plant abiotic stress response: metal toxicity and nutrient deficiency, particularly Cu toxicity and Fe deficency. Beneficial effects of silicon supply on plant antioxidative defence capacity and molecular mechanisms of plant stress response (expression of the target genes and role of small RNAs). Role of dss1 protein in genome integrity and oxidative stress control. Additionally, use of advanced statistical analysis.
