Primenjena mikrobiologija, molekularna mikrobiologija, biotehnologija, bioaktivna jedinjenja.
Identifikacija i karakterizacija novih bioaktivnih jedinjenja iz bakterija roda Streptomyces, optimizacija proizvodnje bioaktivnih jedinjenja, karakterizacija gena za proizvodnju bioaktvinih jedinjenja, primena sekundarnih metabolita streptomiceta kao antimikrobijalnih i antifungalnih agenasa u medicini i poljoprivredi, ekofiziološka uloga sekundarnih metabolita streptomiceta.
