Synthesis and application of new chemotherapeutics based on natural products and metal complexes

The subject of research under this project is synthesis, biological tests and medical application of new heterocyclic compounds, natural cytotoxic lactone analogues, thiazophurine S-nucleoside and metal complexes as chemotherapeutic agents that will be used for the treatment of melanoma and other types of tumors as well as bacterial and fungal infections . Their application in combination therapy will be examined. The objectives of the project will be achieved through a multidisciplinary approach.
