RESEARCHERS' NIGHT HAS CELEBRATED 10TH BIRTHDAY

Last Friday, Researchers' Night was held for the tenth time in Europe and the sixth time in Serbia, and has gathered a large number of scientists and thousands of satisfied visitors. The SCIMFONICOM project has offered about 70 different settings and experiments, while about 300 researchers of various profiles has participated in preparation and realization of the event. Activities under this project attracted about 30 000 visitors in Belgrade, Kragujevac, Nis, Pancevo, Cuprija, Jagodina, Svilajnac, Valjevo, Arandjelovac, Krusevac and Trstenik.

Researchers' Night is held in many cities across Europe every fourth Friday in September. The aim of this manifestation is to enable visitors to get to know researchers and familiarize with the science as part of everyday life. For several years now IMGGE is one of the organizers of this manifestation in collaboration with Institute for Biological Research "Sinisa Stankovic" and Faculty of Physical Chemistry of the University of Belgrade. Every year in the Belgrade city center various activities are organized in collaboration with University of Belgrade, Belgrade City Library, Servantes Institute, French Institute, and many other cultural institutions. During past five years, this manifestation was held within four projects funded by European Union.
